Keeping Home Safe When It’s Listed For Sale

Every once in a while I get a call that the blinds were left open or that a bedroom door was not closed. I completely understand the frustration that my sellers occasionally experience.

It’s not often that you allow complete strangers to walk through your house. While it’s hard to police real estate agents when they show a listing I find that posting signs as gentle reminders is a helpful way to keep everyone in line. If your house is for sale and you’re finding that other agents aren’t being respectful, let your agent know so they can address the situation.

While we’re on the subject, it’s important to evaluate your home’s security even if it isn’t listed for sale.
